Do you suspect your spouse is cheating on you?
The best way to catch a cheating spouse is by using an audio spy recorder.
After all, you don’t need to see the footage of your spouse cheating. You just need to be able to hear the conversation.
Here’s how you could do it:
Recording Outside Of The Home
Where To Hide The Spy Audio Device
According to my research, most cheating partners usually have secret conversations whilst on their way to work, or on their way home after work.
Therefore the best place to hide the spy recording audio device would be inside their car.
I know this seems very sneaky, but if you suspect your partner of cheating of you outside of your home, this is the most effective way to gather evidence.
The best place to hide the audio recording device is under the driver seat.
Please note : the device will start recording as anyone opens the car door and turns on the engine.

If you have an extra car, you will need to bug that too.
Spy Audio Recording Inside Your House
There is a much greater range of audio recording devices for inside your home.
Some of these devices are superb and no one would ever suspect they are being recorded. Here are a couple of examples:
Air Freshener Spy Audio Device
Who would ever think that this innocuous looking air freshener contains a hidden audio recorder?
Most of these devices also double as a proper air freshener too – just for added authenticity.
You can put these safely out of reach and disguise them further with identical real air fresheners to avoid suspicion.
Clock Spy Audio Device
Another very unobtrusive device, the clock socket voice recorder would never be suspected.
You could put this device in the master bedroom to record the most intimate of conversations (or anything else).
The device obviously doubles as a clock as well, usually with an alarm function too.
So Why Should You Use Audio Voice Recorders To Catch A Cheating Spouse?
Audio Spy Recorders Can Record For Much Longer Periods.
I tested a typical spy camera watch and found that the battery life was 1 hour and six minutes. This is about typical for spy cameras.
However the average battery life when recording on audio spy recorders is anywhere betweeen 24 – 300 hours!
If the audio recording device is in standby mode, it will not run out of battery for nearly a week (or up to 1 year, depending on the make and model.)
Why audio devices have a longer battery life
The reason for this extended battery life is the demand on the battery is much less.
A video recording device places much more demand on the battery than an audio device.
Audio recording devices have a greater range
Think about a spy camera for a moment. It is only useful if you can actually see what is happening.
Even the best spy cameras have a limited range.
However a good audio recording device can pick up sound from much greater distances – and the recording device doesn’t even need to be in the same room!
A good spy audio recording device has a range of approximately 10 metres (30 ft). You could place one in your front room and still pick up sound in the kitchen, for example.
With 2 or 3 audio recording devices you could effectively bug an average sized home.

How Do Audio Recording Devices Work?
Rather like motion activated spy cameras, spy audio recorders only start recording when the microphone picks up a noise.
It will continue to record whilst the noise is present.
The clever thing is that if there is a period of about 1 minute with no sound, the audio device will switch off.
This is great because:
1: You won’t have to plough through hours of audio when you review the recorded files. Since the device is only activated on sound, it will only record when there is something to hear.
2: The battery life is greatly extended. The device will only power on when necessary.
Reviewing the files on Spy Audio Devices
Obviously you don’t want to have to spend hours on end reviewing the recorded files from your spy audio devices.
With the features of the audio devices listed here, you’ll be able to cut down on the time spent reviewing the audio files.
Files recorded inside the home
This is much easier to review, because as I’ve mentioned, the device will only power on when there is a sound within the house.
So, you will need to be extra careful to make sure there are no TV’s, radios or any devices left switched on when you leave the house.
If you don’t follow this rule, the audio recording device will record continuously any sound within its range!
However, assuming the house is quiet, you’ll only have to review actual audio that you want to listen to.
Files recorded outside the home (in a car)
Let’s hope there’s nothing to worry about!
As mentioned, the device will automatically start recording when the door opens and the car engine is turned on.
To make sure you don’t waste your time listening to an engine noise, transfer the file to your PC and review the audio on audio playback software.
Pro Tip: I’m a big fan of VSDC video editing software.
This is software designed for video editing, but it serves our purposes here very well.
Here’s what to do:
Download VSDC video editor. (Window Opens in new tab so you can follow these instructions!)
Install the software, then open a new project.
You’ll want to import your audio file into VSDC.
When you do, you’ll notice spikes on the graph. These spikes mean that a sound is detected outside of the normal range (in this case, the noise of the car engine)
Sound spikes on audio playback software
You want to pay attention to these spikes. It’s highly likely that these spikes will be from your suspected spouse talking, which is what you want to review.
You don’t have to use VSDC. Any audio playback software will do the job, as long as you can spot the spikes when someone is talking.
NOTE: Be sure to check on the applicable laws in your country / state before recording any conversations.
A cheating spouse can be a very upsetting experience. However, it is always best to know the truth of the matter.
By using a spy audio device, you can find out whether your spouse is cheating both inside and outside of the home.
The real key to doing this successfully is making sure the device is not discovered and your investigative work is not uncovered!
Use this guide to choose appropriate spy audio recording devices and you won’t go far wrong.
When you review the sound files, especially when recorded in a car, make sure you look for spikes on the audio file to hone in on human speech.
In this way you’ll waste less time and ensure you get the evidence you actually need.
Good luck and happy spying!
